Download Device Configuration

As an administrator, you can download a router's current configuration in XML format in a TXT file. With the TXT file, you can easily view the configuration of the router using any simple text editor.

You can use the TXT file as a back up of the working configuration to:

  • Troubleshoot configuration mismatch issues.

  • Restore the working configuration in the event of failures such as hardware failure and data corruption. You can restore the working configuration from the router's CLI.

To download a router's configuration:

  1. On the Juniper Mist Routing Assurance application, navigate to Organization > Inventory > Routers Tab.
  2. Click a router to open the Router:Router Name page.
    Note:

Utilities option is available only to those routers which are in Connected state.

  3. From the Utilities drop-down list, select Download Device Config.
The Confirm Download Device Config pop-up appears.
  4. Click OK.
    Device configuration download starts.
  5. Save the configuration as a TXT file.
