Configure Apstra Flow Server

To get the full benefit of DC Assurance's features, Apstra Flow must be installed and running before you start onboarding. You'll also need to enable flow enrichment on the Flow server, which allows it to enrich network telemetry with contextual data such as interface names.

To enable Flow enrichment:

  1. Connect to the Apstra Flow server via SSH.
  2. Open the Flow configuration file.
  3. Locate the following lines and uncomment them by removing the # character. Set the SNMP community string to match the one configured on your devices (change this to your preferred SNMP community. The default value is public).
  4. Save the configuration file.
  5. Restart the Flow collector service.
  6. Verify that the service is running.

The output should show the service as active (running). The following sample output is an example of a healthy status:

    Note:

If the service doesn't show as active (running), check the service logs for errors and confirm that the configuration file was saved correctly. For more information, see Flow Collector Service Issues in the Troubleshooting section.
