About the Impact Analysis Page

The Impact Analysis page provides a graphical representation of the data center network along with visualization of how network issues can impact services and clients that are utilizing the data center network.

The Impact Analysis page provides a graphical representation of the network infrastructure along with the path that the service traffic takes. The visualizations enable network administrators to quickly the correlate anomalies to issues in the data center network and resolve them, thereby minimizing the impact on end users.

Tasks You Can Perform

  • Filter and view impact analysis information for specific sites.

  • View information about the services and clients that were impacted during different time intervals─Use the filter option to select the time interval. Move the slider at the bottom of the topology to view the changes during different time periods.

  • Simulate failure scenarios─View potential impact on services and clients if a node in the data center network fails. Click Fail Scenario to view potential impact on clients in case of a node failure.

  • View information for a selected site or for all the sites─Select a site to view information about a specific site or select All Sites to view information about all sites.

  • View information about anomalies and changes in the network─The Anomalies Tab in the right pane displays the anomalies generated along with details of the services and clients that the anomaly impacts.

  • View the potential impact of network issues on clients─Click Ungroup to view the potential impact of a network issues on traffic. The topology visualization provides how an issue with a node in the data center network can impact the clients that are connected to it.

  • View memory and CPU utilization─View details of CPU and memory utilization information for the selected device for the current and previous week.

  • View Tx and Rx packet count─View the count of packets transmitted and received through each interface on the selected device. You can also view the packet error count.
