New and Updated Features
This section describes the new and updated features released in HPE Mist Networking Data Center Assurance.
Adopt Apstra Edge
Enhancements to the Apstra Edge Onboarding Workflow
The Apstra Edge onboarding process on Data Center Assurance has been enhanced with an easy-to-use Adopt Apstra Edge wizard for better user experience.
The Adopt Apstra Edge wizard guides you through each of the following steps of the Edge onboarding workflow:
- Add Apstra Edge and other server details.
- Register the Apstra Edge on Data Center Director.
- Run System Checks on Apstra Edge.
- Run Site Checks on the blueprints.
- Verify Edge adoption.
To launch the Adopt Apstra Edge wizard, go to DC Edges page and click Adopt Apstra Edge.

Enhancements to Impact Analysis
The Impact Analysis feature has been enhanced to process and display data center information in real time. This enhancement enables the feature to process data center anomalies, analyze them, and correlate associated anomalies quickly. You can identify and resolve network issues faster, thus minimizing the impact of service disruptions on network operations.
The Impact Analysis page now provides a visual representation of the network infrastructure in real time. You can use the filter on the page to examine how a specific service performed during a specific time period. The Changes tab displays the changes in the network topology that occurred during the given time period, such as addition or removal of a device.
This helps network administrators reduce the mean time to resolution (MTTR), which in turn helps improve application user experience.

Network Sustainability Analytics
- Define and Achieve Your Sustainability Goals
- Apply Energy Optimization Recommendations at Scale with a Single Click
- Access Network Sustainability Analytics Using APIs
- Support for Brownfield Devices Onboarded to Apstra in Telemetry-Only Mode
- Support for Liquid-Cooled QFX 5250
Define and Achieve Your Sustainability Goals
You can define and track the progress of your organization’s sustainability goals from the Sustainability Planning dashboard.
Use the dashboard to:
-
Set quarterly targets for energy consumption, carbon emissions, and operational costs at the organization or site level.
-
Track progress against live telemetry and compare actual and forecasted performance with targets.
-
Receive early-warning risk alerts and identify energy optimization opportunities before quarter-end.
-
Track progress toward long-term sustainability objectives through structured quarterly planning.
You can also use Marvis AI Assistant (Marvis) to create, view, and delete sustainability goals and track goal progress.
Apply Energy Optimization Recommendations at Scale with a Single Click
You can now deploy supported energy optimization recommendations across multiple devices at the site or organization level with a single click.
One-click bulk deployment automatically pushes multi-device configuration changes using Apstra configlets. This reduces operator overhead and accelerates energy-saving initiatives without manual configlet creation and deployment in Apstra Data Center Director.
Currently, you can use this feature to disable unused ports, PFEs, and line cards in a greenfield deployment.
Previously, this feature was available only at the device level. With this enhancement, you can apply supported recommendations at the site and organization levels.

Access Network Sustainability Analytics Using APIs
Use the Network Sustainability Analytics APIs to programmatically access sustainability data and configure supported settings.
Network Sustainability Analytics supports API endpoints for organization and site scoped settings, sustainability metrics, emissions, forecasted power, and savings data.
You can use REST APIs with standard HTTP methods from third-party softwares such as Postman or cURL to access and integrate sustainability analytics into your existing workflows. APIs support northbound integration with HPE Juniper Mist, third-party ESG and sustainability platforms, and MCP servers.
[See Network Sustainability Analytics: API Endpoints and Parameters.]
Support for Brownfield Devices Onboarded to Apstra in Telemetry-Only Mode
You can view sustainability insights for brownfield data center devices onboarded to Apstra in telemetry-only mode. In this mode, Apstra uses a Freeform blueprint to collect device telemetry without managing device configurations.
You can now view real-time power consumption, throughput, interface, and thermal telemetry and get energy-savings recommendations. This enables you to gain sustainability insights without requiring Apstra to manage or deploy configuration changes to devices.
[See Onboard a Device to Freeform Blueprint (Telemetry-Only Mode).]
Support for Liquid-Cooled QFX 5250
Sustainability analytics is now extended to the liquid-cooled QFX 5250 platform.
For liquid-cooled devices, the Thermal Profile tab displays liquid cooling parameters, such as liquid pressure, instead of traditional fan system parameters, such as fan speed. This capability is currently not available in Data Center Assurance and will be supported in an upcoming release.
Access Data Center Assurance Using APIs
Enhancements to REST API Support on Data Center Assurance
Data Center Assurance supports the use of REST APIs to request information about your data center network. This functionality has been enhanced to support the following REST APIs:
-
Inventory API endpoints to access and monitor pods, racks, and tags in the network infrastructure.
-
Observability API endpoints to retrieve anomaly details and impact information from the data center network.
-
Operations API endpoints to locate MAC addresses from specific sites and to run CLI commands on specific systems.

Webhooks Integration
Monitor Data Center Anomalies on HPE OpsRamp
You can view information about the data center anomalies in real time on HPE OpsRamp. Data Center Assurance can now be integrated with HPE OpsRamp for seamless network management and monitoring workflows.
HPE OpsRamp is an AIOps and IT Operations Management platform that provides unified monitoring, observability, event management, alert correlation, and event remediation using automation. It monitors the full stack of IT infrastructure including network, storage, compute and hybrid cloud. Integrating Data Center Assurance with OpsRamp enables network administrators to monitor key anomalies from the entire enterprise network, including the data center, on one platform.
Data Center Assurance sends key Impact Analysis anomalies to OpsRamp in real time using webhooks. Data Center Assurance sends the alerts as webhook messages to OpsRamp, where they can be monitored, correlated with alerts from other platforms, and resolved in a proactive manner.
