Introduction

This guide walks you through the end-to-end process of onboarding HPE Mist Networking Data Center Assurance for the first time. It covers prerequisites, onboarding steps, post-onboarding verification, and common troubleshooting scenarios.

Data Center Assurance, a cloud-hosted data center assurance platform, connects to your data center fabric through an on-prem component called Apstra Edge. Apstra Edge forwards network events, anomaly data, and sFlow telemetry to Data Center Assurance.

The purpose of this document is to outline the Data Center Assurance onboarding process and provide clear, step-by-step technical guidance for users to follow.

Note:

This guide assumes that you are running Juniper Apstra 5.1 or later, which allows you to install the Apstra Edge from the Apstra Data Center Director UI.
