Access Data Center Assurance from Mist

If you manage your enterprise network using Juniper Mist and your data centre using Apstra Data Center Director, you can monitor data centre events directly from Mist. This appendix describes how to link your Mist organisation with your Data Center Assurance organisation to enable this cross-platform visibility.

Note:

You must have Super User or Network Admin role privileges in both Mist and Data Center Assurance to perform this integration.

Link Mist and Data Center Assurance Organisations

Follow the steps below to enable Data Center Assurance access from Mist.

In Data Center Assurance

  1. Log into HPE Mist Networking Data Center Assurance.

  2. Navigate to Organization > Settings.

  3. Generate an API token and copy it. You will need this token in the next section.

In Juniper Mist

  1. Log into the Juniper Mist portal.

  2. Navigate to Organization > Settings.

  3. Locate the Apstra Cloud Services Integration tile.

  4. Fill in the integration details:

    • Organization ID: Copy from Data Center Assurance Organization > Settings and paste here.

    • API Token: Paste the API token generated in Data Center Assurance.

    • API Token Name: Enter the API token name you defined in Data Center Assurance.

  5. Click Save.

The organisations are now linked. Within a few minutes, you should see Data Center/Application active in Marvis Actions in Mist, showing the total number of data centre issues under the Data Center Actions issue type.

Access Data Center Assurance From Mist

Once the organisations are linked, you can access Data Center Assurance directly from Mist to view detailed information about data centre issues.

  1. In Mist’s Marvis Actions page, go to Data Center/Application.

  2. Click the Data Center Actions issue type.

HPE Mist Networking Data Center Assurance opens in a new browser window or tab in read-only mode initially. Log in to Data Center Assurance using your account to access all features and perform administrative actions.

Note:

The read-only mode is temporary. Once you log in, you regain full access to Data Center Assurance features based on your role and permissions.
