Figure 1 illustrates the CSDS topology with a single MX Series router and scaled-out SRX Series Firewalls in MNHA mode.

The topology offers redundancy for the SRX Series Firewalls. The MX Series router lacks redundancy, except for the dual Routing Engines. MNHA offers sessions synchronization within a cluster, addressing failure scenarios. The topology provides redundancy and scaling support to each pair of SRX Series Firewalls although there is no redundancy for the MX Series router except for the dual Routing Engine support.
