Follow these steps to verify and test the Nutanix Event Notification Service.

Verify End-to-End Functionality

Check Service Startup

You can use the messages in the service logs to check that the service is running at startup.,

Test Infrastructure Event Detection

You can create a test subnet in Nutanix:

  1. Log into Prism Central.

  2. Go to Network and Security | Virtual Private Clouds.

  3. Create a new subnet.

  4. Monitor the service logs for event detection.

    Here's some expected log out.

Verify AWX Job Execution

To verify that AWX jobs are being executed, following these steps:

  1. Log in to AWX web interface.

  2. Go to the Jobs tab.

  3. Verify that the jobs are being triggered when an infrastructure change occurs,

  4. Check your job output to see if it was a successful execution.

Troubleshooting

Kubernetes Installation Issues

To troubleshoot Kubernetes Installation issues, check for the following:

  • Insufficient Resources

  • Network Issues During Installation

  • Python and Ansible Issues

  • Kubernetes Cluster Not Ready

Service-Specific Issues

  • Nutanix Plug-in Image not Found

  • Service Cannot Connect to AWX

  • Service Cannot Connect to Nutanix

  • No Events Detected

  • AWX Jobs Not Triggering:

Recovery Procedures

  • Restart Kubernetes Installation
