Add/Remove Node Tags (Datacenter)

You can add tags to nodes in a few different ways and use them for configuration. Nodes include spine devices, leaf devices, internal generic systems, external generic systems.

Update Tags on One Node (Topology Neighbors View)

  1. From the blueprint, navigate to Staged > Physical > Topology and select the node that needs updated tags. In our example, we've selected leaf3.
    The topology selection view appear.
  2. From the Neighbors view (default view), select the node check box to see the operations available for that node (and that you have permissions for).
  3. Click Update node tags
    The Update leaf3 Tags dialog opens (for our example).
  4. Add and/or remove tags, as needed. You can create tags from here; they'll be tagged to the link and added to the blueprint catalog.
  5. Click Update.
    The updates are staged and you're returned to the topology selection view.

When you're ready to activate your changes, go to the Uncommitted tab to review and commit (or discard) your changes.

Update Tags on One Node (Nodes Table)

  1. From the blueprint, navigate to Staged > Physical > Nodes and select the node name (not the check box) for the node that needs updated tags.
    The node selection view appears, including tag information in the right Selection panel.
  2. Click the Tags tab in the panel, then click Add / Remove Tags.
    The Update Tags dialog opens.
  3. Add and/or remove tags, as needed. You can create tags from here; they'll be tagged to the link and added to the blueprint catalog.
  4. Click Update Tags.
    The updates are staged and you're returned to the link selection view.

When you're ready to activate your changes, go to the Uncommitted tab to review and commit (or discard) your changes.

Update Tags on One or More Nodes (Nodes Table)

  1. From the blueprint, navigate to Staged > Physical > Nodes and select one or more check boxes for the node(s) that need updated tags. The Add/Remove Tags button appears above the table.
  2. Click the Add/Remove Tags button.
    The Add/Remove Tags dialog opens.
  3. Add and/or remove tags, as needed. You can create tags from here; they'll be tagged to the node and added to the blueprint catalog.
  4. Click Add/Remove Tags.
    The updates are staged and you're returned to the Nodes table.

When you're ready to activate your changes, go to the Uncommitted tab to review and commit (or discard) your changes.
