Use the RESET Button
If a configuration fails or denies management access to the firewall, you can use the RESET button to restore the device. The RESET button is recessed to prevent it from being pressed accidentally.
To press the RESET button, insert a small probe (such as a straightened paper clip) into the pinhole on the front panel.
-
Pressing the RESET button for a moment will load and commit the rescue configuration if it exists.
-
Pressing and holding the RESET button for more than 15 seconds, the device will return to the rescue configuration if it exists else the factory-default configuration is committed.
