SRX4120 Power System

The SRX4120 power system includes AC and DC power supply units and related power cords and cables. The power supply units operate within certain ranges and are equipped with status indicator LEDs.

The SRX4120 is powered by two AC or two DC power supply units (PSUs). The power system supports 1+1 redundancy.

Note: We ship the SRX4120 with only one PSU. You can order the second PSU separately if required.

The PSUs in the SRX4120 are hot-insertable and hot-removable field-replaceable units (FRUs). You can install the PSUs in the power supply unit slots on the rear of the device.

The system supports the following PSUs:

CAUTION:

Do not mix AC and DC PSUs in the same chassis.

The maximum and typical power consumption of the system depends upon the type of PSU.

Solid amber

The system has detected an error in the PSU. Replace the PSU immediately. To maintain proper airflow through the chassis, leave the PSU installed in the chassis until you are ready to replace it.

Blinking amber

PSU is operating under overload.

Warning:

The AC power cord for the device is intended for use with the device only and not for any other use.

Note:

In North America, AC power cords must not exceed a length of 4.5 m (approximately 14.75 ft). This length complies with National Electrical code (NEC) Section 400-8 (NFPA 75, 5-2.2) and 210-52, and Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) Section 4-010(3).
