Description

Tolerance

Altitude

No performance degradation up to 6000 feet (1829 meters)

Relative humidity

Normal operation is ensured in relative humidity range of 5% through 90%, noncondensing.

Temperature

  • Normal operation is ensured in the temperature range of 32 °F through 104 °F at sea level (0 °C through 40 °C at sea level).

  • Nonoperating storage temperature in the shipping container ranges from –40 °F through 158 °F (–40 °C through 70 °C).

Seismic

Designed to comply with Zone 4 earthquake requirements according to NEBS GR-3160-CORE, Issue 3

Note:

Install the routers only in restricted-access areas, such as dedicated equipment rooms and equipment closets, in accordance with Articles 110-16, 110-17, and 110-18 of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70.

Front Door

The PTX12008 supports a front door. The front door protects fiber-optic cabling and provides additional protection from electromagnetic interference (EMI).

FPC Cable Management System

The PTX12008 supports an FPC cable management system as an optional equipment. You can use the cable management system to organize, secure, and route the cables attached to the ports on the FPCs. The cable management system helps prevent the cables from dislodging or developing stress points and to ensure that the cables do not block the air inlets of the chassis.

Power Cable Management System

The PTX12008 supports a power cable management system as an optional equipment. You can use the cable management system to organize, secure, and route the power cables attached to the PSMs. The cable management system helps prevent the cables from dislodging or developing stress points and to ensure that the cables do not block the air inlets of the chassis.
