Mount an Access Point on a 5/8-Inch Threaded Rod

The mounting procedures differ by the mounting bracket used. The various mounting brackets and their supported access points (APs) are listed below:

  • APBR-U and APBR-ADP-T58: AP24, AP27, AP34, AP36, AP37, AP45, and AP47.

  • APBR-T58: AP32, AP33, AP41, and AP43.

  • APBR-T58 and APBR-SW1: AP21 and BT11.

Mount an Access Point Using the APBR-U Bracket and APBR-ADP-T58 Adapter

Note:

This topic is applicable to the following access points (APs): AP24, AP27, AP34, AP36, AP37, AP45, and AP47.

You will need the APBR-U universal mounting bracket and the APBR-ADP-T58 bracket adapter.

To mount an AP on a 5/8-inch threaded rod:
  1. Attach the APBR-ADP-T58 bracket adapter to the APBR-U mounting bracket. Rotate the bracket until you hear a distinct click, which indicates that the bracket is locked in place.

  2. Secure the adapter to the bracket using a screw.

  3. Attach the bracket assembly (bracket and adapter) to the 5/8-in. threaded rod by using the lock washer and nut provided

  4. Position the AP such that the shoulder screws on the AP engage with the keyholes of the mounting bracket. Slide and lock the AP in place.

Mount an Access Point Using the APBR-T58 Bracket

Note:

This topic is applicable to the following access points (APs): AP32, AP33, AP41, and AP43.

You will need the APBR-T58 mounting bracket.

To mount an AP on a 5/8-inch threaded rod:
  1. Attach the APBR-T58 bracket to the threaded rod by using the lock washer and nut provided.

  2. Attach four shoulder screws to the AP.
  3. Position the AP such that the shoulder screws on the AP align with the keyholes of the mounting bracket. Slide and lock the AP in place.

Mount an Access Point Using the APBR-T58 and APBR-SW1 Brackets

Note:

This topic is applicable to the following access points (APs): AP21 and BT11.

You will need the APBR-T58 and the APBR-SW1 mounting brackets.

To mount an AP on a 5/8-inch threaded rod:
  1. Attach the APBR-T58 bracket to the threaded rod by using the lock washer and nut provided.

  2. Attach the APBR-SW1 bracket adapter to the APBR-T58 mounting bracket using two screws (provided with the AP).

  3. Position the AP such that the shoulder screws on the AP engage with the keyholes of the mounting bracket. Slide and lock the AP in place.

Now if you need to mount a BT11 which is our Bluetooth-only unit to this threaded rod mount, there's a special adapter provided as shown. There are two special screw holes provided and those screws are shipped with the bracket. The bracket to a BT11 there are four indentations as shown which the bracket will clip into. To remove, depress the latches as shown and it will slide back out. Now you use the 2 screws to connect both brackets and attach the BT11.
