ACX7332 Power System

SUMMARY The ACX7300 power system includes AC and DC power supply modules and related cords, cables, and cable lugs. The power supplies operate within specified ranges and are equipped with alarms and indicators.

The ACX7332 router is powered by 2200 W hot-removable and hot-insertable pre-installed AC or DC power supply modules (PSMs). You can install two PSMs on ACX7332 routers to provide full power redundancy to the device. Each PSM provides power to all the components in the router. If one PSM fails, or if you remove one PSM, the second PSM balances the electrical load without interruption. Each PSM has its own internal cooling system.

ACX7332 AC Power Supply Module Description

Each 2200 W AC power supply module (PSM) has a single AC input and provides 12 V power to the system. Figure 1 shows the AC PSM.

ACX7332 DC Power Cables

You must supply DC power cables that meet the specifications required by the local code, laws, and standards. The ACX7332 supports a 6 AWG and 75°C temperature-rated stranded copper wire.

CAUTION:

You must ensure that power connections maintain the proper polarity.

Warning:

For field-wiring connections, use copper conductors only.

Warning:

Make sure that DC power cables do not block access to ACX7332 components or lie on the ground where people can trip on them.

ACX7332 DC Power Cable Lugs

The accessory box shipped with the ACX7332 router includes the cable lugs that attach to the terminal studs of each PSM. Figure 5 shows the physical specifications of the DC power cable lugs.

Figure 5: ACX7332 DC Power Cable Lugs ACX7332 DC Power Cable Lugs
CAUTION:

Before you begin to install the ACX7332 router, have a licensed electrician attach a cable lug to the power cables that you supply. A cable with an incorrectly attached lug can damage the ACX7332 router.
