Meaning

When an LSP path is re-optimized, the ingress router tries to establish the LSP on the optimized path. In some cases, path setup on the optimized path can fail due to call admission control (CAC) failure.

Cause

This LSP event is caused by insufficient bandwidth over the LSP for the optimized path.

Action

Take one of the following actions:

  • Lower the bandwidth assignment of the ingress LSP below the amount of bandwidth available along the path to the egress router.
  • Traffic-engineer other LSPs off the path that you want the ingress LSP to follow, freeing up the necessary bandwidth.
  • Provision more bandwidth for the LSP.
