Syntax

Release Information
Statement introduced in JUNOS Release 10.1.
Description
In a dynamic profile, configure the underlying interface on which the router creates the dynamic PPPoE logical interface.
Options
interface-name—In the underlying-interface interface-name statement for dynamic PPPoE logical interfaces, you must use the predefined variable $junos-underlying-interface in place of interface-name. The variable is used to specify the name of the underlying interface on which the PPPoE logical interface is dynamically created. When the router creates the dynamic PPPoE interface, the $junos-underlying-interface predefined variable is dynamically replaced with the name of the underlying interface supplied by the network when the subscriber logs in.
