Statement introduced before JUNOS Release 7.4.


Map a hostname to one or more IP addresses and aliases, and configure an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) system identifier (system ID).


alias alias—Alias for the hostname.

hostname—Fully qualified hostname.

inet address—IP address. You can specify one or more IP addresses for the host.

sysid system-identifier—ISO system identifier (system ID). This is the 6-byte portion of the Intermediate System-to-Intermediate System (IS-IS) network service access point (NSAP). We recommend that you use the host’s IP address represented in binary-coded decimal (BCD) format. For example, the IP address is 2081.9716.9018 in BCD.
