Configure the maximum number of bytes allowed for incoming packets to burst above the committed information rate and still be marked with medium-high packet-loss priority (yellow). Packets that exceed the excess burst size (EBS) are marked with high packet-loss priority (red).

Note: When you configure excess-burst-size you must also configure committed-information-rate and the committed-burst-size.


bytes—Number of bytes. You can specify a value in bytes either as a complete decimal number or as a decimal number followed by the abbreviation k (1000), (1,000,000), or g (1,000,000,000).

Range: 1500 through 100,000,000,000 bytes
