Example: Configuring Dynamic Hostname Resolution for RADIUS, Syslog, SNMP, and NTP Servers

The following example shows a sample configuration for configuring dynamic hostname resolution for a RADIUS authentication and accounting server, syslog server, SNMP trap receiver, and NTP server:

system {
name-resolution {
no-resolve-on-input {
cache-refresh-interval 600 //Interval value in seconds;
retries 1; // Retries for a timed-out query
timeout 1; // Timeout for DNS queries
traceoptions {
flag all;
flag updates;
flag config;
}
}
}
radius-server {
radauth1 secret "$9$8BR7b2JZj.mTGDmT3nu0RhSlK8"; ## SECRET-DATA
radauth2 secret "$9$cJUlWxVb2GUHvWZjk.zF9ApBhr"; ## SECRET-DATA
192.168.64.10 secret "$9$MhoWNb4oGUjkVbYoaZHkP5QnCt0BRlv8z3hylMx7"; ## SECRET-DATA
}
accounting {
events [ login change-log interactive-commands ];
destination {
radius {
server {
radacct1 secret "$9$cJUlWxVb2GUHvWZjk.zF9ApBhr"; ## SECRET-DATA
}
}
}
}
syslog {
host sys1 {
daemon any;
}
file messages {
authorization any;
}
}
ntp {
server ntp1;
server 172.17.28.5;
}
snmp {
trap-group g1 {
targets {
snmp1;
}
}
}
