Defining CoS Value Aliases
The Code Point Alias Configuration page allows you to define aliases for class-of-service (CoS) values. By defining aliases you can assign meaningful names to a particular set of bit values and refer to them when configuring CoS components. For more information about CoS values and aliases, see the Junos OS Class of Service Library for Routing Devices.
To define CoS value aliases:
- Select Configure > Class of Service >
Value Aliases.
After you make changes to the configuration in this window, you must commit the changes immediately for them to take effect. To commit all changes to the active configuration, select Commit Options > Commit. See Using the Commit Options to Commit Configuration Changes (J-Web Procedure) for details about all commit options.

Code Point Name | Specifies the name of the code point; for example, af11 or be. | Enter a name. |
Code Point type | Specifies a code point type. A code point type can be DSCP or IP precedence. | Select a value. |
Code Point Value Bits | Specifies the CoS value for which an alias is defined. Changing this value alters the behavior of all classifiers that refer to this alias. | To specify a CoS value, type it in an appropriate format:
