Management Access Configuration Page Options

  1. Select Configure>System Properties>Management Access.

    The Management Access configuration page appears. Table 173 explains the contents of this page.

  2. Click Edit to edit the management access configuration. Enter information as specified in Table 174.
  3. Click one:
    • OK—Saves the configuration and returns to the main configuration page.
    • Commit Options>Commit—Commits the configuration and returns to the main configuration page.
    • Cancel—Cancels your entries and returns to the main configuration page.

Displays whether or not Telnet is enabled.

Junos XML management protocol over clear text enabled

Displays whether or not Junos XML management protocol is enabled over cleartext.

Secure Access

HTTPs Enabled

Displays whether or not HTTPs is enabled.

HTTPs Certificate

Displays whether or not HTTPs certificate is enabled.

SSH Enabled

Displays whether or not SSH is enabled.

Junos XML management protocol over SSL Enabled

Displays whether or not Junos XML management protocol is enabled over SSL.

Junos XML management protocol over SSL Certificate

Displays whether or not Junos XML management protocol is enabled over SSL Certificate.

Certificates

Certificate Name

Displays the certificate names that have secured HTTPS and Junos XML management protocol sessions.

Select this option.

Specifies preference for Junos XML management protocol over SSL.

Junos XML management protocol certificate

Specifies the certificate that you want to use for encryption from the Junos XML management protocol certificate drop-down list when you enable Junos XML management protocol over SSL.

Select an option from the list.

Enable HTTP

Enable HTTP

Specifies how the users need to connect to device interfaces over an HTTP connection. The interfaces that should use the HTTP connection are listed below:

  • Enable on all interfaces—Select this option if you want to enable HTTP on all device interfaces.
  • Selected interfaces—Use the arrow buttons to populate this list with individual interfaces if you want to enable HTTP on only some of the device interfaces.

Enable HTTPs

Specifies how the users need to connect to device interfaces over a secure HTTPs connection. The interfaces that should use the HTTPs connection are listed below:

  • Enable on all interfaces—Select this option if you want to enable HTTPS on all device interfaces.
  • Selected interfaces—Use the arrow buttons to populate this list with individual interfaces if you want to enable HTTPS on only some of the device interfaces.

Select an option.

HTTPs Certificate

Specifies the certificate that you want to use to secure the connection from the HTTPS certificates list when you enable HTTPs.

Certificates

Certificate Names

Specifies the certificate name to secure HTTPS and Junos XML management protocol sessions. The options available are as follows:

  • Add
  • Edit
  • Delete

Select an option.

  • To add a new certificate, click Add. Then enter the certificate name and certificate content in the Add certificate dialog box, and then click Save.
  • To edit an existing certificate, select it and click Edit. Then edit the certificate content in the Edit certificate dialog box and click Save.
  • To delete an existing certificate, select it and click Delete.
