SSL Trace Options Configuration Page Options

  1. Select Configure>SSL>Trace Options.

    The SSL Trace Options configuration page appears. Table 42 explains the contents of this page.

  2. Click:
    • Edit—Edits an SSL trace options configuration. Enter information as specified in Table 43.
  3. Click one:
    • OK—Saves the configuration and returns to the main configuration page.
    • Commit Options>Commit—Commits the configuration and returns to the main configuration page.
    • Cancel—Cancels your entries and returns to the main configuration page.

File Setting

File Name

Displays the name of the file to receive the output of the tracing operation.

File Max Number

Displays the maximum number of trace files.

File Size

Displays the maximum size of each trace file.

Match

Displays the regular expression to be included in the lines of output.

World Readable

Displays whether the log files can be accessed only by the user who configures the tracing operation.

  • Enable—Enables any user to read the files.
  • Disable—Disables all users from reading the files. The files can be accessed only by the user who configures the tracing operation (the default).

Flag Setting

Flag

Displays the trace operations to be performed on SSL services processes.

  • cli-configuration—Trace Routing Engine configuration events.
  • ipc—Trace interprocess communication from the Routing Engine to the Packet Forwarding Engine.
  • service-configuration—Trace SSL service configuration events on the Packet Forwarding Engine.
  • termination—Trace SSL termination service events.
  • protocol—Trace SSL protocol events.
  • selected-profile—Trace selected SSL termination profile events (you must also configure the Enable Flow Tracing option for the SSL termination profile).
  • utility—Trace utility events.

Level Setting

Level

Displays the level of tracing to be performed (brief, detail, extensive, verbose).

Remote Trace Setting

Displays that remote tracing is enabled.

Disable Remote Trace

Displays that remote tracing is disabled.

Specifies the maximum size of each trace file.

Enter the maximum size of each trace file in kilobytes (KB).

World Readable

Specifies whether the log files can be accessed only by the user who configures the tracing operation.

Select one of the following options from the list:

  • None
  • Enable
  • Disable

Level

Specifies the level of tracing.

Select one of the following options from the list:

  • None
  • brief
  • detail
  • extensive
  • verbose

Disable Remote Trace Setting

Specifies that remote tracing be disabled.

Select the check box.

Flag

Specifies the trace operations to perform on SSL services processes.

Select one or more of the following options from the Flag List. To add the options to the Selected list, click the Right Arrow.

  • cli-configuration
  • ipc
  • service-configuration
  • termination
  • protocol
  • selected-profile
  • utility
