Using Files
Select Manage>Files in the J-Web interface to manage log, temporary, and core files on the device.
Table 230 lists the different tasks that you can perform from the Manage>Files page.

Clean Up Files | Rotate log files and delete unnecessary files on the Services Router. If you are running low on storage space, the file cleanup procedure quickly identifies files that can be deleted. The file cleanup procedure performs the following tasks. Click Clean Up Files to begin.
Alternatively, you can rotate log files and display the files that you can delete by entering the request system storage cleanup command at the J-Web CLI terminal. For more information about the request system storage cleanup command, see the Junos OS System Basics and Services Command Reference. |
Download and Delete Files | Download a copy of an individual file or delete it from the Services Router. When you download a file, it is not deleted from the file system. When you delete the file, it is permanently removed. Click one of the following file types, and then select whether to download or delete a file:
Caution: If you are unsure whether to delete a file from the device, we recommend using the Clean Up Files task, which determines the files that can be safely deleted from the file system. |
Delete Backup JUNOS Package | Delete a backup copy of the previous software installation from the Services Router. When you delete the file, it is permanently removed from the file system. Click Delete backup JUNOS package to begin. |
