Monitoring System Properties (SRX Series)

The J-Web GUI interface framework used on the SRX Series devices is based on panes. Each pane acts a separate frame that can be viewed, dragged, minimized, maximized, or hidden. The J-Web user interface has nine panes: Chassis View, System identification, Resource utilization, Security resources, System alarms, File usage, Login sessions, Chassis status, and Storage usage.

Only the first three panes are displayed by default. To view the other system properties, click the Open Preferences Dialog icon at top-right corner of the page. You can also set the refresh time interval for automatically updating the data on the system properties.

Table 4 describes the various fields on the Dashboard and their corresponding functions.

Chassis View

Provides a graphical representation of the hardware chassis.

To modify the Chassis View mouse over the required component on the Chassis View image.

System Identification

Provides system details such as Serial Number of the software, Host Name, Software Version, System Up Time, and System Time

Resource Utilization

Provides a graphical representation of the CPU, Memory, and Storage utilized for both the data plane and the control plane.

Note: The CPU control also shows the load average value for 1 minute when you mouse over he CPU Control .

Security Resources

Provides the Maximum, Configured, and Activated number of sessions, FW/VPN policies, and IP sec VPNs

System Alarms

Provides details such as the Received Time, Severity, and Description of the alarms.

Login Sessions

Provides details such as the User credentials, the Login Time, Idle Time, and Host.

Chassis Status

Provides the component Temperature and Fan Tray details of the system. Select View Chassis Status to navigate to Monitor>System View>Chassis Information for more details.

Storage Usage

Provides details such as the Storage Space Usable, Used, and the Usage of the various system components.
