Ping ATM Results and Output Summary

Table 230 summarizes the output in the ping ATM display. If the device receives no ping responses from the destination node, review the list after Table 230 for a possible explanation.

Table 230: J-Web Ping ATM Results and Output Summary

Field	Description
vpi=vpi	vpi—Virtual path identifier of the ATM node.
vci=vci	vci—Virtual circuit identifier of the ATM node.
seq=number	number—Sequence number of the ping response packet. You can use this value to match the ping response to the corresponding ping request.

If the device does not receive ping responses from the destination node (the output shows a packet loss of 100 percent), one of the following explanations might apply:

The node is not operational.
There are network connectivity problems between the device and the node.
The node might be configured to ignore ping requests.
The node might be configured with a firewall filter that blocks ping requests or ping responses.
