TIM508 Analog Telephony Interface Module

The TIM508 Analog Telephony Interface Module (Figure 42), also known as the TIM508 analog media module, has eight analog telephone lines that can be used as trunk ports.

Note: All eight analog lines can be configured as analog direct inward (DID) trunks.

You can configure TIM508 ports as described in Table 38.

Wink-start or immed-start DID trunk

Analog tip/ring devices such as single-line telephones with or without LED message-waiting indication

TIM508 LEDs indicate link status and activity. Table 39 describes the meaning of the LEDs.

Active. A device connected to the TIM508 is in use. This situation can include a telephone that is off the hook.
