Chassis Console Port Pinouts

The console port on a J-series Services Router chassis has an RJ-45 connector. Table 85 provides RJ-45 chassis console connector pinout information. An RJ-45 cable is supplied with the router.

To connect the console port to an external management device, you need an RJ-45 to DB-9 serial port adapter, which is also supplied with the router.
