Before You Begin

Before you configure USB modems, you need to perform the following tasks:

• Install Services Router hardware. For more information, see the Getting Started Guide for your router.
• Establish basic connectivity. For more information, see the Getting Started Guide for your router.
• Order a PSTN line from your telecommunications service provider. Contact your service provider for more information.
• If you do not already have a basic understanding of physical and logical interfaces and Juniper Networks interface conventions, read Interfaces Overview.
