Configuring HTTPS
Web Access with Quick Configuration
The Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol uses public-private key technology
that requires a paired private key and authentication certificate SSL service.
To use SSL, you must import the SSL certificate into the Services Router and
then configure HTTPS Web access to the Services Router.
When you enable HTTPS access on the Services Router, you must use https://URL or https://ip
address.
Figure 26 shows the Quick
Configuration page for SSL.

To configure SSL settings in the J-Web interface:
- Enter information into the fields described in Table 32 on the SSL Quick Configuration page.
- Click one of the following buttons:
- To apply the configuration and stay in the SSL Quick Configuration
page, click Apply.
- To apply the configuration and return to the Quick Configuration
page, click OK.
- To cancel your entries and return to the Quick Configuration page,
click Cancel.
- To check the configuration, see Displaying
Basic Connectivity Configurations.

You must obtain a certificate from a trusted signing authority before
performing this task.

Click Add and type the certificate name in the
Certificate Name box. Paste the text of your certificate in the Certificate
box. Click OK.

HTTPS Web Access
|
Allows secure management of the Services Router by encrypting communication
between the router and the Web browser.

To enable secure Web access, select Enable HTTPS access and
then select the certificate from the HTTPS Certificate list.
