Access Control

Access to the IMS AAA Server is controlled through standard Unix groups. You can log onto the server at anytime as root. In addition, during the server installation procedure you can specify an existing Unix group. Any users in that group will be allowed to log onto the Administrator and administer server settings. By default, the Unix group "other" is chosen.

Once you have logged into the server, administrative access is controlled by selecting the Administrative Group. All users belonging to this group have administrative privileges to the server.

Refer to Installing IMS AAA Server and Administrator Software for details on installing the server software and selecting the Unix group.

To select the Administrative Group:

  1. Select Server Management > Access Control.

The dialog in Figure 110 opens.
