Description

Configure Link Layer Discovery Protocol–Media Endpoint Discovery. LLDP-MED is an extension of LLDP. The device uses LLDP-MED to support device discovery of VoIP telephones and to create location databases for these telephone locations for emergency services. LLDP-MED is defined in the standard ANSI/TIA-1057 by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA).

Options

fast-start number

Configure the number of LLDP-MED advertisements sent from the device in the first second after it has detected an LLDP-MED device (such as an IP telephone).

  • Range: 1 through 10 advertisements

  • Default: 3 advertisements
