Technical Documentation for TAR Files
The technical documentation files in the TAR format are a collection of the HTML help files in a single archive.
To download TAR files:
- PC Right-click the link and select 'Download Link to Disk,' 'Save Target As,' or 'Save Link As' (the menu selection depends on your browser.)
- Macintosh Click and hold the mouse button down before selecting 'Download Link to Disk,' 'Save Target As,' or 'Save Link As' (the menu selection depends on your browser.)
- UNIX workstation (using a Netscape browser)Right click on the image. Select 'Save Link As.' To open TAR files in UNIX, look in the default path for a local tar utility. To display information on how to use the tar utility, type man tar at the UNIX shell prompt.
To open TAR files in Windows
Use the WinZip® compression utility. For more information about using the WinZip utililty and to download an evaluation version, see www.winzip.com/.
