Overview of Installing the TCX1000-RDM20

1. Unpack your device by following the instructions in Unpacking the TCX1000-RDM20 .
2. Determine how the device is to be mounted by following the instructions on how to mount the TCX1000-RDM20 in a rack or cabinet in Mounting a TCX1000-RDM20 in a Rack or Cabinet.
3. Ground your device by following the instructions in Connecting the TCX1000-RDM20 Grounding Cable.
4. Connect AC or DC power:

   • Connecting AC Power to a TCX1000-RDM20

   • Connecting DC Power to a TCX1000-RDM20

5. Connect your device:

   • Connecting the TCX1000-RDM20 to a Management Console

   • Connecting the TCX1000-RDM20 to a Management Ethernet Device

   • Connecting the TCX1000-RDM20 to the Network and External Devices

6. Set the IP address by following the instructions in:

   • Performing the Initial Configuration for the TCX1000-RDM20
