Table 27 describes the elements that appear on the Log page—EventLog pane of the TCA8000 and TCA8500 Timing Servers.

Element	Description
EventLog Section	This window displays event messages reported to the Timing Server. Message—Lists the event messages received. Save as—Allows you to save the event log to a file. Clear—Clears the log page.

The Log Page—SysLog Pane

The Syslog displays internal system level messages which indicate the operational state and status of the Timing Server software applications. Any error event that impacts the operational state of the system is reflected with the appropriate alarm event in the EventLog. For details, see The Log Page—EventLog Pane.

The Log Page—AuthLog Pane

The AuthLog pane provides a history of login events.

Element	Description
Auth Log Section	This window displays authentication messages reported to the Timing Server. Message—Lists the authentication messages received. Save as—Allows you to save the auth.log to a file. Clear—Clears the log page.

The Log Page—Daemon Pane

The Daemon log displays the internal operating PTP level messages which indicate the operational state and status of the PTP protocol. Any error event that impacts the operational state of the system is reflected with the appropriate alarm event in the EventLog. For details, see The Log Page—EventLog Pane.
