Verifying the State of the Links in the Routing Matrix

 

Purpose

After the LCC has booted, verify the state of the links in the routing matrix.

Action

  1. For switching planes with TXP-F13-3D SIBs and TXP-LCC-3D SIBs, issue the show chassis fabric optics command to verify that the SIB cables have been correctly connected. The correct cable state is CABLE_CONNECTED. The following example shows the expected cable state for SIB 0 in an SFC with one connected T1600 LCC:
    user@host> show chassis fabric optics


    Caution

    If the expected cable state is not displayed for any ports, see Troubleshooting Switching Plane Connections to TX Matrix Plus TXP-F13 SIBs; and review the port-to-port mapping described in Switching Plane Connections Between TXP-F13-3D SIBs and TXP-LCC-3D SIBs to try to resolve any problems. Do not proceed to the next step until the issues are resolved.

  2. For TXP-F13-3D SIBs and TXP-F2S-3D SIBs, verify the state of the optical links by issuing the show chassis fabric optical links command. Verify that the state of each optical link is UP.
    user@host> show chassis fabric optical links

    The following example displays output for TXP-F13-3D SIBs and TXP-F2S-3D SIBs.

  3. Verify the state of the fabric links from the TX Matrix Plus router to the LCCs by issuing the show chassis fabric plane extensive command. Verify that the state of each link to the LCCs is Links ok.
    user@host> show chassis fabric plane extensive

    The following example displays output for TXP-F13 SIBs and TXP-F2S SIBs.

    If the state of any optical link to an LCC is not Links ok, see Troubleshooting Switching Plane Connections to TX Matrix Plus TXP-F13 SIBs, or contact your customer support representative for additional instructions.

    The following example displays output for TXP-F13-3D SIBs and TXP-F2S3D SIBs. If the state of any optical link to an LCC is not Links ok, see Troubleshooting Switching Plane Connections to TX Matrix Plus TXP-F13-3D SIBs, or contact your customer support representative for additional instructions.

  4. Verify the state of the fabric links by issuing the show chassis fabric topology sfc 0 command.

    Verify that the state of each link is UP. If the state of all links is correct, the connections between the F13 SIBs and the SIBs on the LCC are operating correctly.

    user@host> show chassis fabric topology
