Locating the Craft Interface Serial Number ID Label
If the craft interface has failed or is absent, it does not appear in the hardware list output when you use the show chassis hardware command. You must remove the craft interface and manually locate the craft interface serial number ID label.

To locate the craft interface serial number ID label, do one of the following:
- Locating the M20 Router Craft Interface Serial Number ID Label
- Locating the M40 Router Craft Interface Serial Number ID Label
- Locating the M40e and M160 Router Craft Interface Serial Number ID Label
- Locating the M120 Router Craft Interface Serial Number ID Label
- Locating the M320 Router Craft Interface Serial Number ID Label
- Locating the T320, T640, and T1600 Router Craft Interface Serial Number ID Label
- Locating the TX Matrix Router Craft Interface Serial Number ID Label
- Locating the TX Matrix Plus Router Craft Interface Serial Number ID Label
Locating the M20 Router Craft Interface Serial Number ID Label
Purpose
To locate the serial number ID on the M20 router craft interface.
Action
To locate the M20 router craft interface serial number ID label, look at the back of the craft interface panel (see Figure 1).

Locating the M40 Router Craft Interface Serial Number ID Label
Purpose
To locate the serial number ID on the M40 router craft interface.
Action
To locate the M40 router craft interface serial number ID label, look at the back of the panel, above the connector (see Figure 2).

Locating the M40e and M160 Router Craft Interface Serial Number ID Label
Purpose
To locate the serial number ID on the M40e and M160 router craft interfaces.
Action
To locate the M40e and M160 router craft interface serial number ID label, look at the back of the panel, behind the alarm LEDs (see Figure 3).

Locating the M120 Router Craft Interface Serial Number ID Label
Purpose
To locate the serial number ID on the M120 router craft interface.
Action
To locate the M120 router craft interface serial number ID label, look at the back of the panel, behind the console port (see Figure 4).

Locating the M320 Router Craft Interface Serial Number ID Label
Purpose
Locate the M320 router craft interface serial number ID label.
To locate the serial number ID on the M320 router craft interface.
Action
To locate the M320 router craft interface serial number ID label, look at the back of the craft interface panel, behind the alarm LEDs (see Figure 5).

Locating the T320, T640, and T1600 Router Craft Interface Serial Number ID Label
Purpose
To locate the serial number ID on the T320, T640 and T1600 router craft interfaces.
Action
To locate the router craft interface serial number ID label on the T320, T640, and T1600 routers, look at the back of the craft interface panel, behind the alarm LEDs (see Figure 6).

Locating the TX Matrix Router Craft Interface Serial Number ID Label
Purpose
To locate the serial number ID on the TX Matrix router craft interface.
Action
To locate the TX Matrix router serial number, look at the back of the craft interface panel, behind the alarm LEDs (see Figure 7).

Locating the TX Matrix Plus Router Craft Interface Serial Number ID Label
Purpose
To locate the serial number ID on the TX Matrix Plus router craft interface.
Action
To locate the TX Matrix Plus router craft interface serial number ID label, look at the back of the craft interface panel, behind the alarm LEDs (see Figure 8).
