Verifying the Configuration Size and Switch-Fabric Chassis Number Settings
Purpose
Before powering on the TX Matrix Plus router, verify
that the SFC CHASSIS NUMBER
and CONFIG
SIZE
are correctly set.

Action
The SFC CHASSIS NUMBER
and CONFIG SIZE
are settings on physical switches located
on the left side of the craft interface.
- Verify that the
SFC CHASSIS NUMBER
switch is set to00
. - Verify that the
CONFIG SIZE
switch is set to0
for the TXP-T1600 configuration, or3
for the TXP-T1600-3D configuration, TXP-T4000-3D configuration, or TXP-Mixed-LCC-3D configuration.The
CONFIG SIZE
dial has options to set it from 00 to 0F. Valid values are 00 to 07. Values from 08 to 0F are read as 00 to 07. While values 00 to 07 are valid, you must set a value of either 03 or 0B for the TXP-T1600-3D configuration, TXP-T4000-3D configuration, or TXP-Mixed-LCC-3D configuration. All other values are invalid.Note If the
CONFIG SIZE
is set to any value other than 03 for the TXP-T1600-3D configuration, TXP-T4000-3D configuration, or TXP-Mixed-LCC-3D configuration, SFC Config Size Changed alarm is raised. If theCONFIG-SIZE
is set to a value 2 or 3 other than 0 for the TXP-T1600 configuration, then also , SFC CONFIG-SIZE changed alarm is raised. - If either switch is not set correctly, see Setting the Configuration Size and Switch-Fabric Chassis Number.
