Installing or Replacing the Air Filter on the SRX550 Services Gateway

The SRX550 Services Gateway has provision for an optional air filter that installs vertically in the rear of the chassis on the right side. The air filter weighs 2.2 oz (62.37 grams) and is hot-swappable. The air filter is required for NEBS compliance.

Note: The SRX550 Services Gateway does not ship with an air filter. An air filter must be purchased separately.

Note: You can install or replace the air filter while the services gateway is running.

To install or replace the air filter:

    1. Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist and connect the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis. For more information about ESD, see Preventing Electrostatic Discharge Damage to the SRX550 Services Gateway.
    2. Use a Phillips (+) screwdriver, number 1 to loosen both captive screws on the air filter cover (see Figure 1).
    3. Carefully remove the air filter cover.
