Powering Off the TX Matrix Plus Router and Line-Card Chassis

To power off the TX Matrix Plus router and connected line-card chassis (LCCs):

    1. On an external management device connected to the Routing Engine, issue the request system halt all-chassis both-routing-engines operational mode command. The command shuts down the Routing Engines in the TX Matrix Plus router and LCCs cleanly, so their state information is preserved. (If the TX Matrix Plus router and LCCs each contain only one Routing Engine, issue the request system halt all-chassis command.) For more information, see request system halt.
      user@host> request system halt all-chassis both-routing-engines

Wait until a message appears on the console confirming that the operating system has halted.

    3. For the TX Matrix Plus router, switch the circuit breakers on each power supply faceplate to the off position (O).
    4. For T4000 LCC and T1600 LCC with six-input DC power supplies, switch off the external customer site circuit breakers to the power supplies.
    5. For a T1600 LCC with three-input 240-A DC power supplies or four-input 240-A DC power supplies, switch the circuit breakers on each power supply faceplate to the off position (O).
