    Routing the Switch-Fabric Chassis Switching Plane Cables

    After the cables are connected to the TXP-F13-3D port, they are routed into one of four cable management arms and the cable management comb assembly on the top of the chassis.

    Caution: You must maintain a minimum bend radius of 4 in. (10.2 cm) short term, and 3 in. (7.6 cm) long term for switching plane cables.

    Two SFC rear cable management systems are supported. The rear cable management system (model number CBL-MGR-TXP-3D-SFC) is required for switching plane cables connected to the TXP-F13-3D SIBs.

    1. Pull the latch for the cable management clamp toward you to release it. See Figure 1 or Figure 2.
    2. Route each switching plane cable into the cable management system arms.

      • SFC rear cable management system for all switching plane cables (model number CBL-MGR-TXP-3D-SFC)—Route each switching plane cable upward toward the comb assembly on top of the chassis. Press the latch for the cable management clamp to secure the cables.
      • SFC rear cable management system for fiber-optic array cables—Route each fiber-optic array cable upward toward the comb assembly on top of the chassis, and press it into one of the four cable dividers labeled A, b,C, and D, Press the latch for the cable management clamp to secure the cables.
    3. Press the switching plane cable into the comb assembly at the top of the SFC. See Figure 3 or Figure 4.
    4. Arrange the switching plane cables so that they do not interfere with system airflow and maintenance access.
    5. Repeat the procedure for the remaining switching plane cables.
    6. After all the switching plane cables are connected, you can use the two soft band straps to secure all the switching plane cables in the cable management system.
