Preparing the SRX3400 Services Gateway for Rack-Mount or Cabinet Installation

Before you begin the installation, verify the following:

Your site has been properly prepared for the services gateway. See Site Preparation Checklist for the SRX3400 Services Gateway for a summary of the tasks you need to perform.
The services gateway has been removed from the shipping container. See Unpacking the SRX3400 Services Gateway.
You have read the safety information in Chassis Lifting Guidelines.
Ensure the rack is in its permanent location and is secured to the building. Ensure that the installation site allows adequate clearance for both airflow and maintenance. For details, see Clearance Requirements for Airflow and Hardware Maintenance of the SRX3400 Services Gateway.
