Powering Off the AC-Powered or Universal HVAC/HVDC-Powered MX2000 Router
After powering off a power supply module (PSM), wait at least 60 seconds before turning it back on.
To power off the router:
- On the external management device connected to the CB-RE,
request system halt both-routing-enginesoperational mode command. The command shuts down the Routing Engine cleanly, so the state information is preserved. If the router contains only one CB-RE, issue the request system halt command.
user@host> request system halt both-routing-engines
- Wait until a message appears on the console confirming
that the operating system has halted. For more information about the
command, see the Junos OS System
