Installing the Rear Cable Management Comb Assembly
The procedure is the same regardless of the type of F13 SIBs installed.
- Assemble together the left and right comb assembly supports with the comb panel assembly with the four of the supplied Phillips screws.
- Align the four captive screws on the comb assembly with the mounting holes at the top of the chassis (immediately above the F13 SIB card cage). Secure the cable assembly to the chassis to the top of the chassis by tightening each of the captive screws.

Installing the Rear Cable Management Shelves
To install the shelves (see Figure 3):
- Identify the top, middle, and bottom shelf. They can be
differentiated visually, or by the position of the keying pin.
Visual: The three shelves differ in the appearance of the pivoting arms protruding from the sides of the shelves.
Key pin position:
A: Upper shelf key pin position
B: Middle shelf key pin position
C: Lower shelf key pin position
- Familiarize yourself with the pivoting bracket mechanism. Each cable management shelf has two or four pivoting brackets which hold the cable management arms. Each bracket has a release tab. Pressing this tab will allow the bracket to be pivoted and lock into an alternative position. The two locking positions are termed: normal position, and service Position.
- Orient the shelf so that the keying pin location is toward
the right side of the shelf. Align the long guide pins with the holes
in the chassis, and slide the shelf into place. Fully tighten the
captive screws on the left and right sides of each shelf
Note It is easiest to tighten these screws if the pivoting arm brackets are in the service position.
- Repeat for the remaining shelves.

Installing the Rear Cable Management Arms
To install the rear cable management arms:
- Identify the left cable management arms and right cable management arms.
- Attach each cable management arm with three screws on top and three screws on bottom of each arm.
- Move the upper and lower brackets for the upper right cable management arm into the service position. Repeat for the lower right cable management arm, and for both left cable management arms.
- Position one of the right cable management arms onto the brackets, and install with three of the supplied Phillips screws into the upper bracket, and three of the supplied Phillips screws into the lower bracket.
