Installing the Line-Card Chassis Rear Cable Management System

 

Optionally, you can install the line-card chassis (LCC) rear cable management system (model number CBL-MGR-TXP-LCC or CBL-MGR-TXP-3D-LCC) to organize, support, and provide strain relief for the fiber-optic array cables connected to the TXP-T1600 SIBs, and the cables connected the LCC-CBs. You install the LCC rear cable management system on the upper left side of the LCC as you face the rear of the chassis. We recommend that you use the eight threaded screws that are provided.

To install the LCC rear cable management system:

  1. Using a number 2 Phillips screwdriver, remove and discard the four screws to the left of the following FRUS: CB0, CB1, SIB2, and SIB3 from the rear of the T1600 chassis.
  2. Align the rear cable management system with the holes from the screws that were removed from the rear of the chassis. From the side of the chassis, remove and discard the four screws that align with the holes on the side of the rear cable management system.
  3. Using a number 2 Phillips screwdriver, attach four provided screws to the left rear of the chassis (see Figure 1 or Figure 2).
  4. Using a number 2 Phillips screwdriver, attach four provided screws to the side of the chassis (see Figure 3).
  5. Verify that the rear cable management system is securely attached to the chassis.
