Configuring Logical Interfaces for the AX411 Access Point Ports

Use one of the following procedures to configure a logical interface on an SRX Series Services Gateway port to which an AX411 Access Point is connected:

With the Command-Line Interface

To configure a logical interface on an SRX Series Services Gateway port to which an access point is connected using the command-line interface (CLI):

1. If you have not already done so, establish a console connection with the SRX Series Services Gateway as described in the hardware guide for the services gateway, and log into the CLI.
2. Enter configuration mode:

   admin@#> edit

   Entering configuration mode

3. For each physical interface to which an access point is connected, configure a logical interface and an IP address:

   admin@#set interfaces physical_interface unit logical_unit_number family inet address ip_address

   For example:

   admin@srx650–tp#set interfaces ge—0/0/2 unit 0 family inet address 192.168.1.4

4. Commit your changes:

   admin@#> commit

   commit complete

With J-Web

To configure a logical interface on an SRX Series Services Gateway port to which an access point is connected using the J-Web interface:

1. If you have not already done so, start the J-Web interface by browsing to the IP address or hostname of the SRX Series device.
2. Choose Configure > Interfaces.
3. In the Interface Name column, click the physical interface to which the access point is connected.
4. In the Logical Interfaces area, click Add to add a new logical interface.
5. In the IPv4 Addresses and Prefixes area, click Add to add an IPv4 address to the logical interface.
6. In the IPv4 Address and Prefix box, type the IP address for the interface.
7. Click OK.
