Site Preparation Checklist for an EX Series Redundant Power System
The checklist in Table 1 summarizes the tasks you need to perform when preparing a site for Redundant Power System (RPS) installation.

Measure the distance between external power sources and the RPS installation site to ensure that power cords are long enough.
Locate sites for connection of system grounding.
Calculate the power consumption and requirements.
Choose the switches that you want to connect and determine whether they require PoE or non-PoE power.

Verify that the rack or cabinet meets the minimum requirements for the installation of the RPS.
Plan the rack or cabinet location, including required space clearances.
Secure the rack or cabinet to the floor and building structure.
