TX Matrix Plus DC Power Cable and Cable Lug Specifications

DC Power Cable Specifications

You must supply eight DC power cables. The power cables must be 4-AWG (21.2 mm2 ) (minimum) copper conductor, or as required by local code.

Caution

You must ensure that power connections maintain the proper polarity. The power source cables might be labeled (+) and (–) to indicate their polarity. There is no standard color coding for DC power cables. The color coding used by the external DC power source at your site determines the color coding for the leads on the power cables that attach to the terminal studs on each power supply.

Caution

Power cables must not block access to TX Matrix Plus components or drape where people could trip on them.

DC Power Cable Lug Specifications

The accessory box shipped with the TX Matrix Plus router includes the cable lugs that attach to the terminal studs of each power supply (see Figure 1).The dual hole cable lug is sized to fit 1/4-20 UNC terminal studs at 15.86-mm (0.625-in.) center line. (The cable lug shown in Figure 1 is also used for the grounding the chassis.)
