T4000 DC Power Cable and Lugs Specifications
DC Power Cables
You must supply DC power cables that meet the following specifications: 4-AWG (21.2 mm2), minimum 90°C wire, or as required by the local code.
Table 1 summarizes the number of DC power cables required, which you must supply.
Table 1: DC Power Cables Required
Number of Inputs Connected | Power Cables Required |
---|---|
5 | 10 |
6 | 12 |
For field-wiring connections, use copper conductors only.
DC Power cables must not block access to router components or drape where people could trip on them.
You must ensure that power connections maintain the proper polarity.
The power source cables might be labeled (+)
and (–)
to indicate their polarity. There is no standard
color coding for DC power cables. The color coding used by the external
DC power source at your site determines the color coding for the leads
on the power cables that attach to the terminal studs on each power supply.
DC Power Lugs
The accessory box shipped with the router includes cable lugs for 4-AWG (21.2 mm2) cable lugs. The cable lugs are dual hole, and sized to fit 1/4-20 UNC terminal studs at 15.86-mm (0.625-in.) center line.

The cable lug shown in Figure 1 is also used for the grounding the chassis.
Before router installation begins, a licensed electrician must attach a cable lug to the power cables that you supply. A cable with an incorrectly attached lug can damage the router.
