Management Port Connector Pinout Information for an EX-series Switch

The management port on an EX-series switch uses an RJ-45 connector to connect to a management device for out-of-band management.

The port uses an autosensing RJ-45 connector to support a 10/100/1000Base-T connection. Two small LEDs on the port indicate link/activity on the port and speed of the port. These LEDs function in the same way as the network port LEDs. See Network Port LEDs in an EX 8200 series Switch or Network Port LEDs in EX 3200 and EX 4200 Switches for link/activity and speed information.

Table 1 provides the pinout information of the RJ-45 connector. An RJ-45 cable is supplied with the switch.
