Each Routing Engine consists of the following components:
- Keyboard/video/mouse (KVM) select button—This button is not supported.
- Media tray select button—Press this button to
associate the shared media tray (removable media drives and front
panel USB ports) with the Routing Engine. The LED on the button flashes
while the request is being processed and then is lit when ownership
of the media tray has been transferred to the Routing Engine. It can
take approximately 20 seconds for the operating system in the Routing
Engine to recognize the media tray.
If there is no response when you press the media tray select button, you can use the management module to determine whether local control has been enabled on the Routing Engine.
- Power-control button—Press this button to power on or power off the Routing Engine.
- LEDs—There are five LEDs that indicate the status of the Routing Engine. Table 1 describes the functions of these LEDs.
